Miracles

This blog post really touched me and made me think about how we limit God everyday. Does God still perform miracles. I believe so and for Jonah I pray so. Check out Patrice's post today. Patrice and I grew up going to Carolina Bible Camp together and her mom and sweet little sister Shaina go to my parent's church in Greensboro.

At Last...

Aaron and I will be in the same location 7 days a week. This has been a sacrifice for both of us. Aaron has been working in New Jersey since Mid-June. It was one of those projects that we just could not say no to even though it meant we would be apart for this time. Since January I have been traveling every Thursday night for work...I am about to board my plane for my last trip for at least the next 6 weeks...WOOHOO!!! So sometime next week on a day yet to be determined my baby and me will be home together 7 days a week. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We hope through this sacrifice we will be blessed financially and in our relationship. As they say distance makes the heart grown fonder, and I know it must be true because I love him more today than I did 2 months ago. So after only see each other twice during 9 long weeks we will be together once again.
AT LAST!!!!!

Getting back into the swing blogging.

So lately I have been thinking that I should update my blog every now and then. While I would love to scrapbook mine and Aaron's life together I just don't see it happening...blogging would be a great way of digitally archiving our life together to look back on one day. I keep saying that we have nothing to say and will blog once we have children, but have realized that this is a sweet time in our marriage that I want to remember forever...so hopefully more to come soon!

Weekend Getaway to Biltmore

Last weekend Aaron and I took a much need weekend vacation, we went to the incredible Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. It was awesome. It is so amazing to think that this house was built by a bachelor.
Saturday night we attended the Live Flower Carpet Event. It is a tapestry made from 144,000 live plants and flowers, it was so beautiful. This also gave us the opportunity to enjoy the house and property after hours-without the crowds. We even got to crash a wedding down in the garden. We had a great weekend and can't wait to go back through the different seasons of the year.

Mexico Mission Trip

July 7th-July 12th Aaron and I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip with our church and other Christians from around the country to Zorrillo, Mexico. While there we were in 4 groups and each built a house for a family from the local church. It was an absolutely amazing week. I saw first hand how blessed we are to be Americans. I actually watched a child eat a popsicle from the trash. The house we built was 16' x 20' with a loft over the back half of the house, to us this would be a shed but to them it was a mansion. I can't say I am like Aaron and want to make building a career-but I can now say I built a house no a home for a very deserving family.

The entire week was such an eye opening experience that I hope to repeat for many summers to come. Wednesday night we had the opportunity to fellowship with the local Church of Christ in Zorrillo-what an amazing time of worship. While we did not speak the same spoken language we were able to sing and praise God together in one language-LOVE. It was so amazing to me to see how little they have and how joyful they are. It really puts what is important in perspective-it is not the things or the money but the promise we have for eternity.

Crazy Summer

The last two months have been so busy for us both. Aaron has been helping Kade and Amy with their house remodel and I have been traveling a lot. I have been to Florida, New York, Michigan and Mexico. Hopefully I will be able to post soon about our Mission Trip to Mexico...we are so very blessed to live in America.
